We have our own award scheme at Penketh Gymnastics Club. There are 10 levels, with 1 being the first level and progressing up to level 10. We created the award scheme to be a comprehensive and straightforward way for the gymnasts to progress through skills on bars, beam, floor and vault and be rewarded for it.
It is also a way for parents to be able to see the development of their child, as we understand it is sometimes hard to know exactly what they are learning or working towards in class. It is aimed at recreational gymnasts but some younger squads may also use it. There are 4-6 sessions of work on each level across floor, vault, bars and beam. Gymnasts will work on their award scheme skills during the majority of lessons.
You will receive a slip when your child has completed a level which you need to complete, return and pay the £5 fee for their medal and certificate. Medal and certificates will be awarded the week after the slip has been returned along with payment.
