Under the Sea competition
We had a very successful competition weekend on 18/19 April at the club. There were lots of achievements, from medals and trophies to competing a routine or skill for the first time. Well done to everyone who took part!
Help required
We need some help in different areas. Please let us know if you can help or can recommend someone who can.
Welfare officers – Our 2 existing welfare officers have had changes in circumstances and have had to step back from their roles. We are looking for some new people for this role. It involves safeguarding training (if you have any already this may be accepted by British Gymnastics), a DBS check through BG and an online welfare officer training course.
Xero – We use Xero for our payroll. We are looking for some help with the more complicated aspects of the software. If you have knowledge you could share or know of a company who you might recommend, we would appreciate the support.
Cleaning – Now the external/internal works are complete, we are looking to get a one off deep clean for the gym. Please let us know if you have any recommendations for a company who do industrial cleaning who could help.
Assessment week
Our next assessment week is starting on Saturday 2nd May and running until Friday 8th May. We have moved the Saturday assessments forwards a week because 2 of our regular coaches are on holiday on 9th. All progress will be updated on the system or you will receive an email to say your child has completed a level.
Summer display cancellation
We are sorry to say that our summer display is going to be cancelled. We are struggling to find a way to make it work within our classes, and we didn’t get a lot of interest last year. We are planning some 20th anniversary events instead. Please let us know if you can help with planning any events.
Earrings
Please remember that earrings should be taped for the first 6 weeks when they are first pierced. You must provide this tape and apply it before they come in. After 6 weeks, earrings should be removed. Please ask if you have any questions about this.
Parking
Please remember that you must park in spaces that say 4 on them. Unit 5 have ANPR cameras and will fine anyone who parks there, so please do not park in their spaces. If our front car park is full (which sometimes happens in class changeover times), you can use any spaces at the back up to the skip. Please also use the one way system to exit the car park. Please go past unit 5 and round the back to help with the flow of traffic.
