Please can those who haven’t yet done so activate their JoinIn account. If you need help with this, please contact Catherine (admin@penkethgymnastics.co.uk). Can all members please take moment to confirm all medical and emergency contact information is up to date on JoinIn/LoveAdmin. To do this, from the ‘Dashboard’ select the gymnast and an expanded menu will open where you can select to update medical forms or consents. To update emergency contacts select ‘Account’ from the main menu then ‘Contacts.’
British Gymnastics membership
Most of our members’ British Gymnastics membership is expiring at the end of the month. You will need to renew and pay for your child’s membership when you receive an email from British Gymnastics. Community membership is required for all recreational and 2-piece gymnasts. Our 4-piece squad gymnasts need competitive membership. ‘Vault into Christmas’ competition
We are holding our annual 2-piece and recreational competition on Sunday 24th November. Entries will open 1st October and close 31st October and will be on JoinIn. We are finalizing the routines and the children will start working on them after assessment week. This is a fun competition with lots of rewards and medals. We hope as many of our gymnasts as possible will be able to take part. Please let us know if you can help out decorating the gym or on the day in the kitchen.
Award Scheme Assessment Week
We are going to have our second award scheme assessment week w/b 16th September. For all recreational gymnasts who attend that week, we will assess them to see if they are ready to move onto the next level. If they are, you will receive a slip to purchase the certificate and medal. If they are not yet ready, you will be able to login to JoinIn to see what they still need to complete. We will not assess the new school starters just yet as they will be settling into their new classes. If your child is in a squad, you can ask their coach to confirm what they are working on if it’s not our award scheme.
Christmas dates
We are planning our Christmas party for 8th December 1-4pm. It’s at Tetley Walker Club on Long Lane. We will let you know when tickets go on sale. Please let us know if you can offer any raffle prizes or know any companies who can help. Our last class before Christmas will be Saturday 21st December and first class back 6th January. We will let you know nearer to the time if there are any holiday clubs or extra training available over the holidays.
Parking
Please make sure you are parking in our parking spaces when dropping off or picking up your child. We have had reports of people parking at the side of the gym, which is an access route for all units on the estate. You also need to make sure you use the one way system (so exiting past the unit next door and round the back).
